Plaster over Artex

Plastering over artex is possible as long as the artex is in good condition and shows no sign of peeling. Plastering over artex is a slightly harder process than plastering wall but we can provide you a excellent finish. We will normally scrap back much of the artex as possible to leave a flat surface knocking off any high surfaces. The first thing we do is get the room fully covered making sure we minamise any mess. We will always scrim any cracks and coat with a good PVA bonding. Once the PVA has started to go tacky on the ceiling we will start plastering. Once it has started ot go firm we would start to mix the second coat.
