Can you plaster over wallpaper paste residue

Walls need to stripped but you do not have to remove all the wallpaper paste. However the cleaner the surface the better the job will be. Most wallaper paste can be washed off prior to plastering with warm soapy water. A good sugar soap which can be found at most DIY centres will get the wallpaper glue off the wall. We will bond the surface prior to plastering.

How quick can new plastering work be painted?

A new skim wall or ceiling can be painted within 4 to 5 days after plastering with paint for new plastering.

Can we plasterboard over artex?

Yes we can, if the artex ceiling is level enough 9.5mm 0r 12.5mm plasterboard can be applied and then skim.

Can we skim over artex?

Yes we can, but if the artex is thick it would be best to first apply a thin coat bonding on surface and then skim

Can bonding plaster stop damp?

No! It is best to use sand and cement with waterproof chemical
